The water appeared to have entered through the floor of the tent despite the rain fly being fully staked out. When I compare the Quarter Dome 3 to my BA Jack Rabbit SL3 purchased 4 years ago, the Big Agnes tent is far superior in features and reliability. I would not buy the Quarter Dome tent again.

4/27/2017 · The Quarter Dome 3 is limited chiefly by its floor space; at 39.4 square feet it is the smallest of the three person tents in the test set. Within that, it also seems to be a long but narrow layout, which is good for tall and lean hikers but makes for some very close relations with tent mates.

This, however, means that you need to open the vestibules and fish around for grommets on the underside of your rain fly. Once again, my tent was exposed to the rain.
