EmblemHealth uses unique non-Social Security, number-based identification numbers. For most members, this will be an 11-digit alphanumeric member ID. The IDs start with the letter “K” followed by a unique 8-digit number (a “K-ID”). The final two digits distinguish.
Be sure to update your member ID number where necessary. • The address where you pay your bill will be changing. You can pay your premium, the amount you pay for health insurance per month, by sending a check with a copy of your bill to this new address at EmblemHealth, PO.
The EmblemHealth Child Health Plus (CHPlus) member ID cards have been changed. The plan name on the upper right-hand corner has changed from “CHP” to “CHILD”. We have also added “Referral Required” below the plan name for easy reference. Please know that none of the Child Health Plus plan benefits have changed.
6/20/2020 · EmblemHealth GHI PPO-NYC members-member ID change. Starting 07/01/2020, the claims for Emblem GHI PPO (NYC members) will be processed on another claims platform. In order to comply with this change the member ID’s will be changed to the format of K + 10 (numbers).
Members will be issued the same type of member ID numbers (the “K- ID ”) as other members on the new system. Click here to see changes that will apply once the new K- ID is in effect. New ID cards with K-IDs will be issued. EmblemHealth ID cards will have the full 11-digit K- ID .
EmblemHealth ID cards will have the full 11-digit K-ID. To facilitate coordination of care, Empire BlueCross BlueShield will use the same K-ID, but their ID cards will only have the first 9-digits displayed. See sample ID cards below.
